Staging, Lighting, Power and Sound
In 2024, Illumination was approached to design and propose a stage setup for Seafest, a private party held in the stunning surroundings of Derby.
We provided a 4 x 6 meter stage complete with a full lighting package and a D&B sound system, staffed by our expert team.
Additionally, we integrated the client-supplied 60kVA generator to power the entire site, including the marquee, bar, catering, and campsite.
The event was attended by approximately 350 to 400 guests and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
CISSBURY BARNS
Mirror Balls and Lights
We were delighted to be approached by our client to supply a mirror ball and lighting for the stunning setting of Cissbury Barns.
To bring their vision to life, we provided our LED profile lights paired with a 50cm mirror ball—creating the perfect party atmosphere that kept guests dancing long into the evening.
BIG FISH
Set Electrics, Lighting and Set Design and Equipment supply
Illumination was approached to design the lighting and set for Rickmansworth Players’ production of Big Fish.
Our involvement included detailed set drawings, 3D renders, full lighting design, and a comprehensive lighting package featuring our Alpha Spots and LED Zoom Washes. In addition, we produced 320 3D-printed illuminated daffodils—designed and assembled entirely in-house—to bring a unique and magical element to the show.
NORTHWOOD MUSICAL CHIOR
Lighting Package, Power and Rigging Hire
Illumination was approached to supply a simple-to-use yet bright lighting system for the Northwood Musical Theatre Choir.
Using two of our wind-up stands, Chauvet Colorado PARs, Source Four fixed-degree profiles, and SpectraPix battens, we created an efficient and effective lighting setup that’s quick to deploy and easy to operate.
The entire system can be rigged and cabled in under 30 minutes, delivering a full range of vibrant colors that perfectly enhance the talent on stage.
To complement the church’s stunning architecture, we also projected appropriate gobos onto the large vaulted ceiling—tying the lighting design beautifully into the venue’s unique features.
21st MARQUEE PARTY
Lighting and Illuminated Numbers Power Hire
Illumination supplied a fairy light canopy, mirror balls, uplighters, and our white 4ft illuminated numbers “2” and “1” for this special celebration.
The plain marquee was completely transformed with soft, elegant colors and a star canopy of static and twinkling fairy lights—creating a magical atmosphere inside.
Outside, we installed 50 meters of festoon lighting to beautifully illuminate the surrounding area.
With the event taking place in a domestic setting, power management was a key consideration. We supplied appropriate cabling and circuit protection to ensure everything ran smoothly—with no power interruptions throughout the evening.
GARDEN PARTY
Stage and Covering Hire
For an end-of-year party, the CEO wanted to bring the festival vibe to his own garden as a thank-you to his employees.
Illumination supplied a 3x3 metre stage with a weatherproof cover, creating the perfect platform for a series of live bands to perform throughout the evening.
Despite tight access and uneven ground, our team installed the stage safely and carefully ensuring minimal impact on the surroundings and, most importantly, a perfectly level setup.
